Exploring the art of classical ballet, students will dance a full barre followed by center work, across the floor and classical variations. This class will focus on building strength, increasing turnout and extension, and refining the dancer's classical technique. The study of ballet also helps improve poise, posture, and confidence. While FNC’s ballet technique is primarily based in Vaganova, we also teach the importance of knowing the distinction in classical styles from RAD to Cecchetti.
This is an opportunity for the more experienced dancer to put the techniques learned in class into practice. Learn a selection of specifically cast and choreographed competition dances, perform in different styles and expose yourself to other performers at state, regional and national competition levels. Dedication, commitment, and teamwork are not only expected, but are the key components in any successful performing group.
